Impressions: A Link to the Past 2

Well, the moment has arrived, its time to talk about the new Nintendo Direct, and being serious, the 3DS is really going to benefit from this year, we heard about many things, including more information about the new Mario and Luigi RPG, a new Yoshi"s island, Animal Crossing, but many fans (including me) watched this Nintendo Direct expecting information on the new zelda, and we got it!, but the trailer hasnt pleased all the fans, but what do i think about it?, lets find out.

This new zelda is a direct sequel to A Link to the Past, and i have no issue with that, A Link to the Past could really beneficiate from a sequel, however, that doesnt mean the decision of making the overworld pretty much the same is not a risky decision, because it can make it feel too similar to its predecessor.

But the biggest complain i have seen is the artstyle, perphaps maybe it looks goofy and different, but that doesnt make it bad!, remember how EVERYBODY complained about Wind Waker"s art style?, and then the game came out and everybody loved it, so we cant judge a game that we havent played yet.

In the trailer we were shown something very interesting, the game has a lot to do with angles and 3D and stuff which i guess makes sense because they need to use the power of the 3DS but it just looks goofy and weird, the sticking on walls thing is, well, something different.

Conclusion:

While the game looks different, im still going to pick it up, its going to be awesome and im sure things will go all right.

Opinion: Used Games

Used Games, has its advantages and disadvantages, for some it seems a wonderful thing and for others a waste of time, here's my opinion....

I love buying used games because they are cheaper and they are exactly the same as a new one but a sealed game has many more privileges than a used one because they are sealed.

There"s rumors about the Next Gen Consoles, that says the games are going to have like an activation code, so in that way, if you buy a used game of the Next Gen Console probably you have to pay for another activation code , but is only one of thousands rumors about the Next Gen Consoles.

Conclusion: I think that buying used games is much better than buying a sealed one because with the money that expend on a seled one, you can buy li three used ones, so for me buying used games is a great alternative if you want old games and cheaper.

So guys, What"s your opinion about the used games? Leave it in the comments.

Impressions: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

I have been interested in the Monster Hunter series for a while, considering how popular Monster Hunter 3 was in the Wii, and now monster hunter 3 ultimate came out in both the 3DS and the Wii U, i got my chance to try them out, and i did, i bought the 3DS versión.

Graphicwise the game looks ok, its just a Wii game with some makeover, but the monsters still look awesome and i got to say, the 3DS version looks pretty good for the 3DS.

And the gameplay, while amazingly fun, has Little to no sense of direction, after a couple of quests you left almost alone with no idea of what to do, I have no clue of where to go now or what to do so i followed Neko and i went to another island and tried to do a quest, and i REALLY mean that try, because after killing some easy dinosaurs a giant dinosaur popped up and killed me.

Conclusion:

I recomend you pick it up, its pretty adictive and fun, getting started may not be the easiest thing but its worth it.

Retro-review: Kirby Dream Land

Well I havent done a review in a while but oh well, its time for a very quick yet nostalgic review, so in 1992 a very interesting game came out called Kirby"s dream land, this game is known to be the first step into one of the longest living series in all videogames, but as a game, does it hold up?, ehhh.... lets find out.

Story:

Well, its a game boy game so its pretty simple, defeat King Dedede and recover all the food that was stolen, its not Zelda complicated but hey, its something for a game boy game.

Gameplay:

And this is the reason why you should avoid Kirby Dream Land, As kirby you can absorb things and spit them out, you can fly and crouch, and if you are asking if im missing something, im not, in this kirby game, you cant get powers, which really sucks (See what i did there?), i mean, i can understand why you cant get powerups because you know, this is the first kirby game and all, but it hasnt aged well thanks to that.

You can get some powerups to spit different things, but if you compare to kirby dream land 2 or Kirby Super Star, its just lacking, but in terms of the stages, there are a total of 5 stages. in each one you have to reach the end and fight a boss, with the last boss being King Dedede itself, no completion secret, no real final boss, nothing else except an extra mode that is actually really challenging.

Graphics:

Well it looks basic for the Game boy, nothing bad but not really good either, the sprites are ok and the backgrounds look nice.

Music:

Now this is the best aspect of this game, for a game boy game, KIrby Dream Land has some awesome tunes, Green Greens, the boss music, pretty good for a game boy game.

Replay Value:

Well Extra mode does have some replayability considering how fucking hard it is, but after that, there is actually nothing.

Conclusion:

Well Kirby Dream Land is a game you should only try if are very interested, because as of 2013, ther e is no reason to even get close to this game, you may be asking why, well I only need to say 3 words

Kirby Super Star

Kirby Super Star has a remake of all Kirby Dream Land with color, better presentation and the fact that you can actually absorb the enemies and it also has 7 different games so instead of wasting your money on this game you should buy Kirby Super Star, seriously though buy Super Star, its awesome.

5.0/10
A 5 means the game is close to being bad but it isnt, its neither good or bad, may find some enjoyment.
See you later Guys!

Review: Nintendo Land

Ok this is just something incomplete but hell why not
So I got my Wii U on christmas!!!...and four months have passed since then, when I got it I bought New Super Mario Bros U and Nintendo Land, and the topic of today is nintendo land, is it better than Wii Sports?, lets find out.

Story:

There...is none, Nintendo Land has you bulding your park and getting all kinds of statues and gadgets so it can look better, thats the closest to a story Nintendo Land has.

Gameplay:
Now here is where Nintendo Land does truly shine, remember how Wii Sports had 5 minigames?, well Nintendo Land has 12 of them, 6 are Single-player and the other 6 are Multiplayer, and if you want to be completely honest, the single player ones arent that good but i"ll review each minigame.

Yoshi"s Tropical...thing: This is, easily, one of the worst minigames in the game, you have to draw on the gamepad so Yoshi can actually move, you draw his way into fruits and keys, and while the concept may seem all right, after some levels it gets really draining.

Takamaru"s Ninja Castle: boring, the controls are ok but it truly bores me.

F-Zero Twist thing: This is really fun, the controls are tight and awesome and the overall feeling of speed is great, this shows that a new F-Zero would be a lot of fun, right nintendo... RIGHT?!

Balloon Trip Breeze: Honestly, this isnt that bad, its works as a distraction and the music is really relaxing, its incredibly fun sometimes, one of my favorite single player minigames.

Donkey Kong Crash Course: Now THIS is awesome, the game is actually pretty challenging when you first play it because the controls are so unique, you truly take a while to master this game and you have fun while doing so, the level is so intense that you never feel really bored while playing it, the finest of the single player minigames.

Octopus Dancing. Dancing, just dancing.

Ok so those were the single player minigames, not bad, but not very special either, but now we are getting into the more interesting part of the game, the multiplayer minigames!

Impressions: Wonderful 101

Even though i have delayed the reviews for a long time and Dead-Pool is still taking a long time to make his opinion, fortunately the Impressions are still up and running, and I"m here to talk about one of the main stars of Platinum Games for this year, THE WONDERFUL 101!

Graphicwise the game looks amazing, everything looks colorful and every character and enemy has a lot of detail put into it, every single one of the heroes looks awesome and some of them even have some famous voice actors voicing them, im sure i heard Roger Craig Smith somewhere in the trailer...

But the gameplay is where the fun is, and The Wonderful 101 certainly has that área covered, this game definately looks like Pikmin and it plays like Pikmin but it does its own thing with all the weapons and different soldiers you can play as, it has a lot of energy and craziness going for it.

In conclusion The Wonderful 101 looks awesome, i havent tried it yet but im definately going to pick it up launch day and you should too.

Impressions: Bioshock Infinite

Well today is the great reléase date of a 3 year waited game, Bioshock Ultimate is coming out!, and to be completely honest, im really exicted about it, but what do i think about the game itself?, lets find out!

Well graphicwise it looks beautiful and everything matches the tone of the game,  it looks very advanced and the characters look nice as well.

But it also really excites me to see the high scores this game is getting, the reviews are very praising and they make me think that this game will be a hell of a trip, after all Bioshock is one of my favorite games of all time and while i didnt quite enjoy Bioshock 2 as many people did, i can see why people loved it.

It is refreshing to finally get away from Rapture and see something just as good but with a whole diferent concept all together.

Conclusion:

Im picking up Bioshock Infinite as soon as I can and you should too if you are a fan of the FPS genre, if you want to try out this gem of a series then by all means go ahead and try it, its that good.

Impressions: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.

So, if you guys didnt knew, I freaking love Pokekom, the spin-offs, the generations, EVERYTHING, and for a long time I have been a big fan of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, its very fun to see a Pokemon game with such a serious storyline and fun gameplay, in fact , Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 1 and 2 are both in my top 10 games list, but what do i think about the next one?, lets find out.

Graphicwise it looks ok though i personally like more the art style of the other pokemon mystery dungeon, it looks good enough and i like pokemon is finally moving to 3D, this, along with Pokemon X and Y, is the first step to 3D.

In terms of gameplay is pretty much the same, but something really depressing happened, the possibilities for the starter pokemon have been butchered, now you can only choose between 5 pokemon, and they are very mainstream, they are the unova starters, Axew and Pikachu (Pikachu...?, really nintendo?).

I do find the multiplayer very interesting and its one of the reasons i may pick the game up, but again, the pokemon you can find and get in this game are really sparce and lame.

Conclusion:

Well it doesnt look bad but im doubting picking it up, if you are a pokemon fan go right ahead, but it doesnt look as good as the other ones.

Impressions: Mario and Luigi: Dream Team

Now THIS is a topic I have been very interested on talking about, i now I finally have the chance to talk about it, so at the now famous Luigi based Nintendo Direct many games were revealed, including the new installment in the Mario and Luigi series: Dream Team.

Well I want to start saying that the game, graphicwise looks awesome, the environments match perfectly with the 3D and they truly made the 3DS shine.

In terms of the game I cant say much but to be honest I really like the idea of making Luigi more important in this game, Luigi has been in Mario"s shadow for a long time and the idea of making a Luigi based-year is pretty sweet.

Conclusion:
I always loved the Mario and Luigi RPG series, so this game is completely welcome in my book, come on Nintendo!, do it for Luigi!

Opinion: Rayman Legends delayed.

Hello everyone!, Im sorry for being away for a couple of weeks, but now we are back at full force!, and to begin, I shall talk about a topic that infiuriates even the most calmed gamer, the delay of rayman legends...

Well in terms of the game im sure its still going to be enjoyable and fresh, but come on Ubisoft!, this game was already finished and people sacrificed a lot of time just to get this game going in February!, and you are just both doing damage to your fans and to the studio that made this game!

Also the fact that the wii U is LITERALLY empty in terms of new games but people at the very least knew that Rayman Legends was a consolation, WELL ITS NOT ANYMORE, thanks Ubisoft, thanks.

Conclusion:
It does anger me that they delayed this game, but at the same time i understand why, the studio that made the game needs all the money they can get, BUT COME ON UBISOFT!.

And in apologies for the delay, i"ll be making an impressions post today in a few hours, see you then!

Opinion: PS4

If you now, yesterday was the meeting of sony and they officially announced their new console, so here is my opinion:

Sony"s new console have been announced yesterday and i get very excited when i heard it, because I'm a big fan of playstation and I been anticipating the new Sony console for a while and now we have it.

The meeting was very good and also interesting. They show the PS4 controller and the desing of the controller is very attractive, got a small touch panel and PS4 controller is the first one which dont have START and SELECT buttons, instead of these are OPTIONS and SHARE buttons.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!
They also showed some games, one of them was Killzone: Shadow Fall that for me looks awesome, the graphics looks amazing and the playability also looks good. Another one was inFAMOUS: Second Son that looks good and other one that for me will be a game that will destroy any other game that comes out, called Watch Dogs looks amazing in graphics and the playability is very good. There were only a problem in the meeting, THEY NO SHOW THE CONSOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, they got the controller, they the games but they dont have THE CONSOLE.

Conclusion: I think the PS4 is good but i need more information and also see the console before buying it

So what do you think about the PS4 guys, leave a comment.

Impressions: Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

And with the Valentine"s day Nintendo Direct many 3DS games and features, including the release date for the new Animal Crossing, Mario and Luigi: Dream Team and...sigh... Donkey Kong Country 3D, what do i think about it?, lets find out.

Well in terms of the game i have no problem with, I really enjoy Donkey Kong Country Returns and I think i will enjoy it without the motion controls, HOWEVER, that doesnt mean I think a remake of a 2 YEAR OLD GAME is a good idea at all, They had SO much potencial in terms of Donkey Kong games, a DK64 remake, Donkey Kong Country Returns 2, the list goes on but no, they chose a F"CKING REMAKE OF A TWO YEAR OLD GAME!.

Sigh... Well if they are going to do a remake of DKCR, im hoping they bring a lot of new things to the table, maybe new levels, some dlc, Come on Retro Studios!, im hoping here you dont dissapoint me.

Conclusion:

In conclusion I think a remake DKCR is a pretty bad idea, and i hope that if they are doing it, they bring many new things and elements, this is the first time I made an impressions in which im actually mad.

Impressions: Pokemon Gen VI

On January 10th, a trailer was revealed of the next generation of Pokemon, Pokemon X and Y, and yesterday some new information was also revealed, what do I think about it?, lets find out.

First of all, Pokemon X and Y:

Now this looks awesome, the 3D environments look really cool and it makes me really happy to see Pokemon evolve, The new battle interface is awesome and the new pokemon look all right, but it angers me to see people that complains about Pokemon going 3D, which i have to reply "Its called evolution, Mario is not 8-BIT anymore, why should Pokemon stay like normal instead of trying something new?".

Fennekin looks pretty cool and i like Chespin"s design, I don"t really like froakie but hey, thats my opinion, if you ask me im probably going to be choose Chespin to see what it evolves into, maybe a Grass/Dark?, who knows but I cant wait for X and Y to be released!

And Im probably going to buy Y because I love that mascot, looks awesome, And something tells me that new Eeveelution is going to be secretly a monster in terms of power.

Pokemon Rumble U:

All I got to say is, Im expecting a story like Pokemon Rumble Blast but not as repetitive and I hope the multiplayer is better Implemented.

See you later!

Opinion: Wind Waker U Remake

So yeah, with the new Yoshi game revealed a Remake of Wind Waker for the Wii U, and you know... im actually very interested on it!, but why is this?, lets find out.

Well in terms of time, im completely fine with this Remake because its just something to distract us with until the new Zelda comes out, I haven"t really played Wind Waker and this is a really good chance to enjoy it, im very interested in what Nintendo will do with the Gamepad, but I truly think that Wind Waker isn"t the best idea for a Zelda remake, I mean there were SO many options!, Majora"s Mask, A Link to The Past, Link"s Awakening... and the list goes on.

Anyone...?
Im also hoping that they do a lot of new things in comparison to the Ocarina of Time remake, because that remake only had a few new things, I expect the return of the boss rush but who knows?, we might even get a multiplayer!(I hope...)

Conclusion:

Im really excited for this remake, after all Wind Waker is still an amazing game and getting the chance of playing it with new things exites me!.

But what do you think?, speak in the comments.

First Impressions: Yoshi U

Allright, so in January 23th Nintendo revealed many interesting things, including both a Wind Waker remake (which I"ll talk about in a few days) and a new Yoshi based game on the Wii U, and what do I think about that game? lets find out.

Well even though i wasnt the biggest fan of Kirby"s epic yarn but I liked the creativity it had and the certain charm it had, I think that graphicwise Kirby"s epic yarn had a beautiful art style so seeing something like it again is completely welcome.

However that doesnt mean I think that I think Yoshi"s Epic Yarn (I"m going to call the Yoshi game like that by the way) is going to be amazing, in fact im probably ignoring if it has the same life system from Kirby Epic Yarn (You cant die in Kirby Epic Yarn) and many people will say "The fact that you cant die doesnt mean there is no challenge" but Epic Yarn just bored me.

I hope they bring new elements and gameplay mechanics to the table and most importantly, GET RID OF THE BABY MARIO CRYING SOUND EFFECT!

Conclusion:
-Im very interested in buying this game, I loved Yoshi"s Island and something tells me this game will also be completely awesome and creative.

-Peabody.

5 Sonic Facts!

1. Sonic Adventure 2 evolved a lot, originally neither Rouge, Shadow or Tails were playable but the fans demanded tails to be playable so  they basically gave him the controls and gameplay of Dr.Eggman, but there is also a theory thats says that tails was going to be playable using his chao garden controls(in the chao garden Tails can fly, drown and attack) but they ran out of time.
Shadow was named Terios, Rouge was named Nails and the story was going to have a morality system that was later used in Shadow the Hedgehog.

2. Knuckles Chaotix has some mystery inside of it, a build was found some time ago called "Sonic Crackers" that is basically an early version of Knuckles Chaotix with Sonic and Tails, both a new super sonic sprite and a tails with the tornado sprite were also founded.

3. Sonic Adventure originally used the classic sonic model from Sonic R/ Sonic Jam as depicted by this image, this image is from a early trailer of the Sky Chase, there is also information that says that originally Sonic Team wanted to make a 3D Sonic RPG but then it shapeshifted into Sonic Adventure.

4. Sonic Mega Collection and Sonic Gems Collection both were originally going to have Knuckles Chaotix in them but couldnt due to emulation problems.

5.Sonic Heroes"s Team Dark third member was originally E-102 Gamma but since Sonic Team couldnt find a way of bringing him back without being too ridicioulous they instead created E-123 Omega.

Well Guys, Sonic Month is over and Dead-Pool is back!, what will happen on february? only time will tell...

viernes, 11 de enero de 2013

Poll

There"s a poll on the right, it will decide the main post of Month of Sonic, the winner will be posted at January 30th.

Vote please!

Impressions: Sonic and All stars Racing Transformed

Sonic has always tried to have a good racing game, it began with Sonic Drift and Sonic Drift 2 and they suck. then Sonic R came out and it was OK but it wasnt really a stellar racing game, but THEN in 2010 Sonic and Sega All stars racing which i really enjoyed, i taught sega was going the right way and anxious for a sequel, and the sequel came out 2 months ago and i tried it out, what do i think about it?, lets find out.

Well the gameplay is pretty much the same but it has some new things that are actually quite interesting, the vehicles idea reminds a lot of Mario Kart 7 but its actually well implemented, dont get me wrong i love Mario Kart 7(in fact im planning a review on february) but in that game the whole "transformation" thing was just for show, in Sonic and All stars the way the transformation gates are done make them much more effective.

The new characters are allright, im really happy to see Nights and Gillius, and i think AGES is hilarious but im still angry at sega for not including ristar and making him the flagman, and the way of unlocking characters SUCKS, i mean i loved how you unlocked them in Sonic and Sega all stars racing but the stars system is horrible.

I love the tracks variety this time around and the new items are very interesting

In conclusion SEGA has truly made a really fun racing game that has a certain charm to it, keep working hard Sega, you"ve being doing nicely this last years!
